SUMMARY
I am a data analyst and researcher with a diverse background in ecology, quantitative genetics, and data science. My journey began at the Faculty of Science of the University of Granada, where I delved into various projects in the fields of behavioral and animal ecology during my undergraduate studies. My PhD thesis centered on understanding the economic strategies and trade-offs inherent in sexual conflicts, such as sexual cannibalism in spiders, from an evolutionary ecology perspective. These formative experiences equipped me with valuable skills in statistical ecological modeling and experimental methodologies. At the University of Edinburgh, I became intrigued by the missing heritability paradox associated with diseases like Alzheimer's, motivating my exploration into the study of complex human diseases and broadening my research focus. Additionally, as a data scientist scholar at The Data Incubator, I honed my skills in Big Data modeling techniques.
Presently, I serve as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Fish and Zooplankton Ecology, with a focus on examining fish behavior and the environmental factors influencing it in freshwater ecosystems. I conduct detailed analyses of fine-scale telemetry data, utilizing various ecological, statistical, and quantitative methodologies to explore these intricate relationships. Additionally, I actively contribute to conservation biology initiatives, particularly through the innovative approach of Culturomics and iEcology
