On Wednesday, December 9 2015, prof. RNDr. Karel Šimek, CSc., was honoured Gregor Johann Mendel Honorary Medal for Merit in Biological Sciences. The medal was awarded to him at the ceremony by the chairman of the Academy of Sciences, prof.Jiří Drahoš.
