Main interests are:
Temporal and spatial fish distribution in reservoir and lakes.
Fish behaviour in respect of biotic and abiotic factors.
Fish and macrophyte assessment based on hydroacoustic methods.
Intercalibration and standardization of hydroacoustic methods.

• 2002 MSc. in Ecology at Faculty of Sciences, University of South Bohemia, master thesis: Fish avoidance of acoustic survey boat in shallow waters
• 2008  PhD  in Hydrobiology at Faculty of Sciences, University of South Bohemia, PhD thesis:  Fish  community  in  man‐impacted  cascade reservoirs on the Vltava River

2013  - 2014 post-doc stay in INRA, Thonon les Bain, France, topic: Intercalibration of different hydroacoustic systems with respect to assessment of fish populations in deep lakes and reservoirs: towards a method for fish population monitoring within the WFD

 

Professional experience:  
• Leader and member of many holistic campaigns focused on fish assessment in reservoirs and lakes in Czech Republic and world-wide including presentation of results and final reports (more than 30 reservoir and lakes in CZ and in Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Germany, France, Thailand)
• 2013  - 2014 post-doc stay in INRA, Thonon les Bain, France, topic: Intercalibration of different hydroacoustic systems with respect to assessment of fish populations in deep lakes and reservoirs: towards a method for fish population monitoring within the WFD  
• Member of FishEcU group (Fish Ecology Unit, www.fishecu.cz) at Institu of Hydrobiology, aim on hydroacoustic surveys of fish communities and reservoirs heavily impacted by man
